What is Foodmarj?
Foodmarj is a no-account calculator for the ingredient cost of a recipe and the profit on one portion. It is for cafés, restaurants, bakeries and production kitchens that price from ingredients.
What it calculates
Recipe cost is the sum of each ingredient’s share of its purchase price. Cost per portion is that total divided by the number of portions.
Food cost is portion cost divided by selling price. Gross profit is selling price minus portion cost. Gross margin is that profit divided by the selling price.
Commission, packaging and an extra amount for dine-in and delivery are typed separately. They do not change the recipe cost. Nothing is pulled from a delivery platform.
What it leaves out
Rent, labour, energy and tax are outside this calculation. VAT is not split out. There is no POS, stock, order taking or platform connection.
Amounts are TRY. Display rounding is half-up to the kuruş. Units are grams, kilograms, millilitres, litres and pieces. Grams are not converted to millilitres.
