Order journal

How is an order profit journal kept?

1 min read

The order journal writes the selling price, cost and fee of each order on its own row. Profit is the same row profit as the cost book, and no stock balance is kept.

Formula

Row profit = selling − cost − fee.

The rate and the amount come from you. No tariff is locked in the code.

Representative example: wool hat

  1. Wool hat order 50.00 TRY. Cost 20.00 TRY. Fee 4.00 TRY.
  2. Row profit 26.00 TRY.
  3. The journal is not a warehouse card. The order is not imported.
  4. The empty file downloads with headers.

Common mistakes

  • Pasting someone else’s tariff in place of the numbers you type.
  • Reading a typed rate as an official tariff. The page says the amount was entered by hand.

Questions

Does this connect to a shop?

No. Orders, listings and tariffs are not imported. Downloading a file stays optional.
