VAT
How are VAT inclusive and exclusive amounts found?
A VAT-inclusive amount is the net times (1 + rate/100). An amount typed as inclusive comes back to net with the same rate, using the food page identity.
Formula
Inclusive: net = amount / (1 + rate/100). Exclusive: gross = amount × (1 + rate/100).
The rate and the amount come from you. No tariff is locked in the code.
Representative example: shelf item
- Shelf item 120.00 TRY VAT inclusive, rate 20%.
- Net 100.00 TRY. VAT 20.00 TRY.
- Exclusive 100.00 TRY at the same rate becomes 120.00 TRY inclusive.
- There is no tax return and no e-invoice.
Common mistakes
- Pasting someone else’s tariff in place of the numbers you type.
- Reading a typed rate as an official tariff. The page says the amount was entered by hand.
