Platform fees

How are platform fees calculated?

1 min read

Platform fees are the listing fee plus the transaction, payment and off-site ad percents of the sale, plus a regulatory fee. Profit is the sale minus that total and the product cost.

Formula

Fees = listing + sale × transaction % + sale × payment % + sale × off-site % + regulatory fee.

The rate and the amount come from you. No tariff is locked in the code.

Representative example: ceramic mug

  1. Ceramic mug sale 200.00 TRY. Listing 3.00 TRY.
  2. Transaction 13.00 TRY, payment 4.00 TRY, off-site 24.00 TRY, regulatory 1.50 TRY.
  3. Fees 45.50 TRY. Cost 80.00 TRY. Profit 74.50 TRY.
  4. The rates were typed from a representative contract. Nothing was pulled from a shop.

Common mistakes

  • Pasting someone else’s tariff in place of the numbers you type.
  • Reading a typed rate as an official tariff. The page says the amount was entered by hand.

Questions

Does this connect to a shop?

No. Orders, listings and tariffs are not imported. Downloading a file stays optional.
